A change of plans is the theme of most weddings this year. When the big event in Belize had to be revised, Christian and Steve had to find a new location.... "where shall we get married"? Destination TCI it is! Yes, because the Turks and Caicos are easily accessible from the States (even if you come all the way from California), the summer temperature is guaranteed all year around, and the beaches are among the best in the world.

The day passed by in a blink of an eye, but I'm sure they will never forget about it.

It was meant to be a family Irish Wedding, it turned out be a romantic Wedding at Point Grace, Turks and Caicos. This is a love story of Maria and Tim, a sweet couple that saw their dream turned upside down by the pandemic. A different plan, but certainly a great call, as "The entire experience in Turks and Caicos Islands has surpassed our expectations". A few months ago, I started to ask my brides to write a few words to make my blog posts more personal... I love this new tradition, so "let's pass the microphone" to Maria: "We were going to Turks and Caicos on our honeymoon from the very beginning after spending a week in Ireland. We decided to just elope on our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos. We were able to keep our same wedding  date, October 10, 2020. It was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. All the stress and heartbreak of Ireland turned Providenciales in the British West Indies a dream come true for us. Our Wedding at Point Grace was absolutely gorgeous from sunrise to sunset. It was perfect in every way.

The 2020 brought us a completely new reality, an unrecognisable world that hides our smiles behind masks. It's in the people's eyes that we find beautiful souls and feelings: just focus on the bright side, happiness and love are everywhere. The latest "cherry on the cake", or better, the "succulent chocolate delight", is a fantastic Amanyara Wedding that united Kristen and Brian forever.  I love stories, especially when told by the person that experienced them. So let's hear it form Kristen: "We were originally planning a small intimate wedding in Costa Rica with our family and closest friends. Then Covid hit and we realized at the rate of how things were progressing we wouldn’t be able to get married for years! So we decided to just elope now!

We did a quick search as to what countries would accept Americans and who also had low Covid cases. It was also a requirement to go to a place neither of us have ever been! Turks and Caicos was the winner!!

We started researching special places on the islands. We figured since it was only the two of us we would splurge!! And... that we did!!! Wowsers! Amanyara is a dream!!

If you could choose a place to visit over and over again, where would you go? For Amanda and Matt the answer it's simple: the Turks and Caicos. The Islands, beautiful pearls in a turquoise sea, are their happy place: a home away from home, where to relax, soak in the sun, spend time on the beach, explore, scuba dive, meet friends and enjoy life. This year the travelling challenges imposed by the pandemic, changed the couple's plan 5 times, but they made it :-) Amanda and Matt recently celebrated 25 years of marriage and, even if no special reason is needed to book a plane ticket to Provo, it was the perfect occasion to capture a collection of memorable Turks and Caicos photos. We started the photo shoot at The Palms, in the heart of Grace Bay, and then moved to the secluded Leeward Beach.
